Assa-peixe is a medicinal plant with anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties. It can be an excellent option to complement the treatment of flu, pneumonia and bronchitis, relieving symptoms such as fever and persistent cough. In addition, assa-peixe has diuretic and anti-rheumatic benefits and can be applied directly to the skin to relieve muscle pain.
Preparation of tea:
In a pan or kettle, boil water. Remove the water from the heat and add the fish roast leaves. Cover, let stand for 10 minutes, strain and drink 1 to 3 cups a day.
In case of muscle injuries, the tea can be soaked with gauze, cotton or a clean cloth and applied to the affected area. This procedure must be done twice a day, leaving it to act for 2 hours each.
